The Ocean Bottom Soap Company is a start up company and was in need of a logo.
Focus group testing was done and the group provided negative feedback around the business name – it implied dark, muddy etc. However, the owner was insistent on keeping this name.
In order to nullify the initial impact of the name, a light and airy design, reminiscent of seaweed, was created. Slight shadows were placed under the seaweed to give it the subtle impression that it’s not “too deep” under water. Translucent bubbles are used to tie into the concept of “clean” and “soap”.
